Intex Easy Set Pool Reviews
What Makes This Intex Easy Set Pool Worth Considering?
The Intex Easy Set Round Pool Set is a medium-sized pool constructed for families of five or less. If you have two or three small children, this is a great choice to make. It is cheap, durable and does not ruin the way your backyard looks.
It is fairly easy to install and easy to maintain. It comes with a highly complex DVD that will explain each and every step you need to take in order to properly assemble this Intex swimming pool.
This specific pool is a soft sided pool, that means no metal frames to deal with like the hard sided above ground pools I wrote about here. But that can be a positive if you are thinking of moving or taking the pool down during the winter months.
Thankfully this is super easy to assemble and dis-assemble. It will be ready to go in 10 minutes minus the time it takes to fill the pool. Inflation time is very short, which is great for a small yard and you don’t want the pool set up at all times.
Whenever you feel the need to relax and cool down, take this Intex Easy Set Pool and set it up in no time.
Intex Easy Set Round Pool Set
Most pools that are this easy to set up and maintain are also cheaply built. This is not the case with the Intex Easy Set Pool. It has a sturdy feel to it and even though it misses metallic reinforcements like its cousin the Intex metal framed pool, it still provides a safe environment in which you and your children can have a lot of fun all summer long.
The price is also a detail that gives this Intex pool a slight edge over the others. It offers great value for money compared to all the other similar products that fit the same market segment.
A few Positives
There are a few other things that are worth mentioning when referring to the Intex Easy Set Pool besides the price and durability. This pool is the perfect size for any home. It is just big enough to fit two adults and two small children without taking up all the space in a medium sized backyard. It is also very fast and easy to assemble.
A Few Negatives
Because this swimming pool lacks reinforcement, it can cause problems if placed on an uneven surface. The quality of the materials used is also a bit disappointing. Don’t expect it to last for years. Even when properly stored, it can end up deteriorated.
I also wouldn’t leave it up during the winter months if you live somewhere where it freezes. The forming ice will puncture this pool! I also wouldn’t try to run a pool heater either.
How Easy is it to Set Up?
Setting up this Intex pool is not a one man job. You will need at least one other person to help you unfold the whole thing. You also need a completely flat surface that needs to be thoroughly cleaned before you start inflating the pool. That means there should be no rocks, tree roots or anything sharp that could puncture the lining. Pretty much anything at all can hurt the integrity of the pool and it can be compromised.
The first thing you need to do is check to see if all the parts are in the box. If by chance you are missing something that was supposed to be included, you’re either going to need to call customer service or go back to where it was purchased from. Don’t start assembly if any part is missing.
TIP: Set up the pool so that the connection for the filter is closest to the electrical outlet. This makes sure you don’t have to have an obvious cord running in front of your pool, which would obviously not look so great.
After inflating the top ring secure the black plugs that keep the water in. Close the drain plug and start filling the pool. As I said, this is not the easiest thing to do. It will take some time, up to 24 hours depending on your water pressure, but the results are worth it.
The Intex Easy Set comes with a DVD that contains all the necessary information for you to properly set it up. And yes, you should spend the 10 minutes it takes to watch the DVD. There are a few solid pointers on the disc.
Speaking from Experience
I found the Intex Easy Set a bit small for my taste as far as inflatable pools go. I have a large family, so fitting all of us inside it is not that easy. Things get a bit crowded. The thing I liked, though, is the price.
This is a decent product that you can use if you don’t have too much space around your home. It is not the same as a 20 foot pool, but it can still be a lot of fun.
It can actually be considered a bargain if you compare it with other not that different products. The same above ground pool model that measures 6 feet more in length and 18 inches more in height is 7 times more expensive. I consider this the perfect solution for families of four or less.
I needed a bit of help setting it up, but that is about it. You also have to remember that it does not come with any metal parts to hold it together, so a leveled backyard is crucial.
Keeping Your Investment Safe
Don’t set up this Intex 12 x 30 pool unless you have a perfectly even backyard. Any inclined angle will ruin your experience. You should also be very careful when setting up the pool. Check for leaks after a years’ worth of storage.
Cheap Family Fun
This Intex pool offers good value for money. Even though it is not a top of the line product it will still offer plenty fun time for you and your family.
This Intex Easy Set Pool is a pool for those of you who are on a budget but still want to enjoy the summer in the comfort of your own back yard. It is generous in terms of space and it will still leave enough room to for your kids to run around.
It is a decent investment to make and even if it is not the most durable of inflatable pools, it will still hold its own compared to other similar products. And HQ Pools definitely feel it is a solid investment that should last 5 years or more if taken care of.
